What a terrific time we had this morning as we hosted a “When Swing Was King” Brunch for a few friends who braved the snow and made it to our home for a meal of eggs and sausage, hash browns, fruit, chocolate cake, cheese danish, apple fritters, cranberry toast, sparkling juices, tea, and coffee. And then we packed into our living room where we had set up tables in front of the fireplace for a TV and our speaker. The delicious food, the heartwarming “When Swing Was King,” and the lively conversation among the guests (Steve & Sue Yeaple; Dr. Ralph Kramper; Dick Wilson; Keith and Carol Moran; Mary Roberts & her oldest son, Christopher; and our next door neighbor who teaches Chinese at a nearby high school, Shan Wambach) made this a very Christmassy fellowship indeed. Thank You, Lord.

But be doers of the word,
and not hearers only.
